Written by islandhse on November 16th, 2010Testimonial provided by Alex, Jonathan and Emil of Bury, Lancashire:
“We have been staying at Island House with Ivor and Eva now for 15 years ever since we discovered this little gem of a self-catering property. Having travelled around Counties, Leitrim, Roscommon and Cavan for around 10 years prior to settling on Island House, we finally found the paradise we were looking for. With plenty of good fishing, both lake and river, in Cavan’s Lakeland within easy reach and Lough Oughter literally at the bottom of the drive, it was ideal for our needs with excellent fishing right on the doorstep in case one of us wanted to lie in, the weather really turned bad or if there was a football match we wanted to watch…”

Written by islandhse on April 12th, 2009Last Sunday, the April Pike Fishing competition was held on Eonish Lake. It was a great success and enjoyed by all. The event was organised by the Killeshandra Angling Club. The final competition for the season will be held on 10th May at Garadice Lake. This is another great local lake in the neighbouring county of Leitrim. It is 15mins drive from Island House.
